My first painting - Underpainting

The underpainting is being layed in. I am using warm colors for the sky, so when I paint the sky colors it will have a warmer feel to it then the original photo. The colors: Winsor and Newton Water mixable Oils. Cad. Yellow Light, and Alizarin Crimson.

My first Oil Painting - The Sketch

This is my first oil painting, for the next couple of days I will post pictures of my process.

I have started by sketching my subject which is of a Caterpillar tractor on a 20"x24" canvas, I used the grid method to sketch out precisely what was going to be on the canvas.
