Chuck Close Tribute

This is my tribute to Chuck Close, but in a much smaller version, 11"x14".
This is one of three I did for a final assignment last year. I will post the others later.

I used 6B for the shadows 2B for the mid tones. I tried to keep the eye area as clean as possible, I wanted the eye to be the center of focus. The further away I got from the eye the less detail I used, so by the time I started on the ear there is almost no detail, just value changes.
