Koi

I have always enjoyed the colors of the Koi. They have inspired me to create a few paintings. The koi can live many years, so I added the conji which means longevity in life.

For this one, I used watercolors and Colored pencils. For me I try to stay loose to reflect the feeling I was going for. I usually add pen and ink after the watercolor, but decided using an outline would destroy the feeling of being underwater.
